This community has been dead for a while. We need to get it started up again!!! Come on I know that yall read some awesome books. Alot of us are in need of a new one to read. What with Harry Potter over and Eclipse finished by anyone who is anyone we are all waiting for another good book to occupy our time with.

Lately I have been reading some awesome books. Many of you know that the Twilight Series is at the top of my list. If you have not read them you should really invest some time in it. If you liked Harry Potter you will love this.

Bella moves to the town of Forks, Washington where she encounters Edward. Since the first day of school Edward has done nothing but try to avoid any kind of contact with Bella. But Bella has done no wrong to this handsome stranger with pale skin and orange eyes. After hearing the local legend of vampires Bella begins to inquire more into this stranger's life.

You should really read the books. They get much more interesting than just a girl falling in love with a vampire. Although that is pretty interesting anyway. :)

I will continue posting some recommendations later.

happy reading,
Wow...It has been a while hasn't it?

I have been reading some great books.

"House", by Ted Dekker and Frank Peretti

Jack and Stephanie break down on a back road in the middle of nowhere. After their tires are slashed they are forced to walk to and spend the night in an "abandoned" bed and breakfast. They, and another broken down couple are told the "house rules":
Rule 1: God came into my house and I killed him.
Rule 2: I will kill anyone who comes into my house like I killed God.
Rule 3: Give me one dead body and I might let rule 2 slide.
The two couples and the family who own the inn fued over who to kill and whether this is a real murderer.
The book was good until the end where the spirtuallity makes it rather corny.7/10

"Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe", by Fannie Flagg

This book was down right AWSOME! The movie is good but the book goes into so much more detail with the characters and story plot. Idgy and Ruth's relationship is so much more than just a friendship like in the movie. The book really portrays their relationship and partnership in the cafe and raising Buddy Jr. It was funny and heartwarming. The only problem I had was when Buddy died. In the movie it was so very dramatic but in the book it was anticlimactic (or whatever the word it). It was just like "Buddy was at the train station and was run over by the train. They say he didn't even see it coming." But other than that it was awsome. I wached the movie after reading it and still cried. 9/10

"Battle Dress", By Amy Efaw

Andi has to get away from her disfunctional family, even if that means military school. At West Point she is one of two females in her squad and she must face ridicule and torment from everyone as high as her platoon sergeant to her squad mates. Andi must get through her first summer at West Point, better known as "Beast" or go back to her overbearing mother.

The book is awsome. Everytime I read it I always think of Cadet Daily-as my ex-coach Musgrove. Ugh he was such an ass, but he had a soft side too. I definatly recommend this one to everyone. 9/10

I can't wait till DH comes out! I am so Excited!

I just read the most fabulous book in my life, and I thought it'd be cool to post it here.

If you haven't read the book The Pact by Jodi Picoult, you seriously don't know what you're missing. It changed my life. Honestly.

It's about a boy named Chris and his girlfriend Emily, and their parents. They grew up together, Chris there when Emily was born. Then Emily gets suicidal, and her and Chris make a suicide pact. Only Emily is the only one who dies, and throughout the story, you're left wondering what went wrong. Now Chris is being charged for her murder, an act he swears he didn't do, and we're left to wonder if he killed her stone-cold, or if Chris is really the good guy he claims to be.

I cried at least a dozen times while reading this book. It'll pull on your heartstrings, but it's not overtly depressing. In fact, it's very interesting and kind of funny, if you like dark humor.

PLEASE READ THIS BOOK. I cannot pimp it enough :)

Mwahaha! I haven't posted in a long time, but I have NEW BOOKS (stated in the title above!!!)

Run for the Money, by Stephanie Feagan

The Kiss, by Elda Minger
Pretty Woman, by Fern Michaels
True Believer, by Nicholas Sparks!!!

I am so happy that I have True Believer because I read hte bookthat comes after that, but I didn't read this one.
At First Sight, by Nicholas Sparks came out the day before my birthday and so my mom's (and my) friend bought it for me, because I am a Nicholas Sparks fan!!! Emily knows!!! She bought me four Nicholas Sparks books for Christmas! Yay me! I am currently reading True Believer, and I hope that I can finish pretty soon, because I am really ready to start on my new books!!! XD

You want to hear about them? Well I don't want list the descriptions off the back, but soooo faaar...:True Believer is about a journalist Jeremy Marsh, who appears on Primetime Live, and is bombarded with letters for him to come to towns and make them famous. He recieves one letter from a woman in Boone Creek, a town in the Carolinas (where all of his books are based). Then he meets the woman (She's older. The love interest comes in later) and she tells him that she's psycic. Then he meets her grandaughter and they kinda have an eye out for each other and they think about each other...etc. That's how far I am. There's some other stuff about a haunted cemetery...but you'll have to read that later! ;)

Hi i am new here! Does anyone have any good recomendation on self help books? I am 22 years old and i feel so lost with my life and such, i feel like i need a book that can get me on track. Anything will help! thanks.
Hey, I've finally gotten the chance to join this community. I'm finally on a computer will internet!!! It seems like it's been forever. Anyways, a few little basics on myself to set the record straight.

Name: Lindsey
Favorite Genre: Realistic Fiction - and I LOVE classic novels
Favorite Authors: JD Salinger, JK Rowling, Ray Bradbury, and Jane Austen..oh and Nicholas Sparks
Favorite Books: The Catcher in the Rye by Salinger, Harry Potter (all of them, especially the 6th) by JK Rowling, Fahrenheit 451 by Bradbury, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, and anything by Nicholas Sparks
Currently Reading: Wicked by Gregory Mcguire.

I LURVE books more than just about anything. I know, I know, I have a LOT of favorites. Oh well. I really suggest all of the books I've named on my favorites list. Oh and just fyi, Wicked is pretty good so far. Strange, but good. Very different from The Wizard of Oz, but it pays good tribute. If youre a fan, read it. It's what the musical is based on.

The Mediator Series

So I know I said I would update after I finished reading book #2, but since the library didn't have that book I just went on to #3. I loved it! And I just couldn't wait to read the next one so I decided to just read all the books and then post the reviews for each, or just one review or something. lol...

I thought the books were awsome! Meg Cabot's sense of humor is outstanding throughout all the books. The characters all had such a great chemistry! I don't want to spoil anything because I want everyone to go read these books!

my score for the entire series: 9/10....

Go read it! And if you can't find them, just read anything by Meg Cabot. She is so fricken awsome it is unreal.

later dudes!

The Boy Next Door by Meg Cabbot

I just finished The boy Next Door by Meg Cabbot!! It was wonderful!!! I won't spoil the ending, but the whole book is written in an email style (which gets pretty confusing!) with only 3other things; 2 newspaper articles and 1 "Chapter 17" that's pretty steeeeeamy!

I recommend this book with 4 1/2 runner awards!!!

Yeah, I'm cheesy, but who cares! I recommend that everyone that is a girl and enjoys girl books run out to your nearest bookstore and pick this one up!!!

Meg (Meggin) Cabot

You know what Emily... and other members?...you know that book I read at the begginning of the year? She Went All The Way is by Meggin Cabot...the same Meg Cabot that you are interested in now! lol I bought her new one...since I like her, too. It's called The Boy Next Door!!! It's really good so far..it's all in email! My favorite so far is All American Girl!!!

The Mediator By Meggin Cabot

I finished The Mediator by Meg Cabot! Overall, I think it was a very good book. Read my full review under the cut. :)
